Okuhle Digital’s relationship with the ZA Registry Consortium (ZARC) enables us to provide South African businesses with a more accessible and supported way to manage their .co.za domains.

As a ZARC-accredited registrar, Okuhle Digital can facilitate the registration, transfer, renewal and ongoing management of .co.za domain names. This is especially valuable to business owners who originally registered their domains through the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and now need a registrar to provide the technical services required to use and manage those domains effectively.

Supporting the transition from registration to active use

Registering a domain through CIPC gives a business its digital address, but a domain still requires active management before it can be used for services such as a website, professional email or Domain Name System (DNS) configuration.

By transferring the management of a CIPC-registered domain to Okuhle Digital, the business retains ownership of the domain while gaining access to registrar services, technical support and additional digital solutions.

The transfer does not mean that Okuhle Digital becomes the owner of the domain. It simply authorises us to manage the domain on behalf of its registrant within the ZARC domain-management environment.

Moving a domain to Okuhle Digital gives customers access to a broader range of services for establishing and maintaining their online presence. Depending on their requirements, customers can connect their transferred domain to:

Customers who already have a website or email service elsewhere can retain those services by ensuring that the appropriate nameserver and DNS settings are maintained during the transfer.

How do I Add Products and Domains to my cPanel?

The “Add On Domain” option in your cPanel lets you add extra domains as add-on domains to your hosting account.

This lets you host additional domains from your account.

  1. Login to your cPanel which can be found at your domain name forward slash cPanel, for example: http://www.yourdomain.co.za/cpanel
  2. Next scroll down to the section titled Domains, and click on Add-on Domains
  3. Fill in your new domain name with the extension
  4. Insert a password for this domain, this password will be used for the domains FTP access.
  5. Click Add Domain and your new domain will have been added to your cPanel.

You can upload files directly to this add-on domain using the username and password for the add-on domain to log in via FTP.
